Baby Shower Treat Boxes
Create a set of adorable baby shower treat boxes. These cute boxes are perfect for party favors or gift boxes for expecting parents! Make all seven designs including a bottle, rattle, stroller, pacifier, rocking horse, safety pin and bodysuit.
Hello Crafty Friends! I’m excited to share a new set of cut-out treat boxes with you today – this time for a baby shower! I love making these simple treat boxes with my Cricut. They look so beautiful with the different themed cut out designs but they aren’t hard to make! They only take a few supplies including cardstock and adhesive.
Making treat boxes is one of my favorite ways to use paper and my Cricut and I have made dozens of different boxes for holidays, special occasions and more. They make wonderful gifts as well as party favors.
For these baby shower treat boxes I created seven different box designs including a bottle, rattle, pacifier, stroller, rocking horse, bodysuit, and safety pin. You can make all seven or pick and choose from the designs.
The boxes each have a lid with a cut out design. I originally planned to put craft plastic behind each lid as I have done for my Christmas boxes and Autumn boxes, but decided instead to back them with colored paper. I made my boxes in a variety of pastel colored paper, but you could also just pick two colors that match your party theme and make all of the boxes in the same palette.
Below is the tutorial for making these sweet fruit party treat boxes! The cut files are available in my Designing Cheerfully Etsy shop!
How to Make Cute Baby Shower Favor Boxes
Supplies Needed:
- SVG cut files
- Cardstock
- Double-sided tape – I used 1/4″ Scor-Tape and 1/8″ Scor-Tape
- Scoring board and stylus – if your machine does not score
- Cricut Cutting Machine
- Cricut tools
- Cricut Brayer
- Cricut Standard Mat
Choosing the Paper
For this project you will want to choose cardstock that weighs between 65-80lbs. This is a nice weight that is usually sturdy enough to hold sweets and treats but not too thick that folding it becomes a challenge. Each box will fit on a sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock or two will fit on a sheet of 12″ x 12″ cardstock.
I always recommend solid core cardstock (carstock that is the same color all the way through) versus white core cardstock (cardstock with a white center and the color printed on both sides). This is so that when the paper is cut with the cutting machine little white fuzzies aren’t visible.
I made my baby shower party treat boxes uses a mix of pastel colored paper from my stash. I chose seven colors so each box would be it’s own color and then used the leftover paper scraps to back each lid. You could also use clear craft plastic or acetate if you want to create a little peekaboo effect!
Cutting the Boxes
Step One: Cut out the boxes using your cutting machine. Start by preparing the cut files by either deleting the score lines (if your machine does not have the ability to score) or by attaching the score lines and changing their operation from cut to score. The cut files from my shop come with step-by-step picture instructions for setting up the file in Cricut Design Space.
Cut the designs. If scoring the boxes by hand, use a scoring board and stylus and the scoring guide that comes with the listing.
Assembling the Boxes
Step Two: Gently fold the boxes along the score lines.
Step Three: Fill in the cut outs on each box lid. You can do this with the matching pieces that come with each cut file. Swap the cardstock piece out for clear craft plastic for a peekaboo window.
Step Four: Use double-sided tape to adhere the box pieces together. I used 1/4″ Scor-Tape on the flaps for the bottom of the box and the box lid.

Fill the Boxes
The box is assembled and ready to be filled with sweet treats! These make adorable party favors! The cardstock you use will most likely not be food-safe, so wrapped treats are best. You could also put unwrapped treats like cookies into clear plastic bags before they go into the boxes, or wrap them in parchment paper.
