DIY Haunted House Slider Card – SVG Cut File
Create a frightfully fun Haunted House Slider Card this Halloween. This interactive card reveals a fun surprise when the insert is pulled out! A great Halloween craft for your cutting machine.
Today I’m excited to share a new slider/pull card I created for Halloween! This Haunted House Slider card is soooo fun to make and a great holiday project for your cutting machine. I love designing slider cards and was really happy with how this one turned out. When you pull the insert out, there are fun surprises! Four little ghosts are revealed in the windows and the insert says BOO! I plan to send a few of these out to my friends who love Halloween. They would also make fun invitations to a Halloween-themed party!
The SVG cut file is now available in my Etsy shop and it comes with a complete picture tutorial on how to assemble the card. I chose to make my card with a class Halloween color palette using orange, black and purple paper. Green is a fun accent color for some of the house details. You could make this following the same colors I used or create it using your own color palette. Patterned paper could also be interesting to use!
I have been experimenting with slider cards for a while and, through trial and error, have discovered the magic of foam tape! Using foam tape allows the insert to slip in and out of the card effortlessly. I chose to use paper by Bazzill, which is a heavier weight and helped make this card extra sturdy.
The card measures 5″ x 7″ and is designed to fit an A7 envelope. Head to my Etsy shop to grab the cut file and Happy Halloween Crafting!!
Below you’ll find the supplies I used to create this card along with direct links to the supplies on Amazon. The PDF Assembly Guide, included in the listing, comes with the complete supply list as well as cutting notes and a picture tutorial for assembly.
I have more fun Halloween crafts in the works that I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks. For more ideas also check out my gallery of DIY Halloween crafts – lots of them come with free patterns and printables :)
