Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m exited to share a new treat box with you that is perfect for the Autumn season! These boxes are designed to look like cozy fall sweaters. They feature a cute squirrel and acorn design as well as leaves and fall trees.

These boxes are a great size for small treats, candy, tiny gifts and are also the perfect size for gift cards. Once filled, the boxes close by folding the collar pieces to the front of the box and tying them with a piece of ribbon or Baker’s twine.

Making the Treat Boxes

The printable packet comes with lots of detailed pictures and instructions for assembling the boxes. Below are the basic steps for making the box.

  1. Print and cut out the treat box using a paper trimmer and/or scissors.
  2. Score the treat box with a scoring board (following the scoring guide in the Etsy printable packet), then fold along the scored lines.
  3. Apply double-sided tape to the tab and form the box. Fold in the bottom of the box.
  4. Hole punch the top of the box, fill with treats or a gift card, and close the box with string. You can also staple the box closed instead of tying it closed with string.

Baker's Twine is used to tie a bow to the top of the treat box.
