Pocket Chart Calendar now in French and Spanish!
My Pocket Chart Calendar printables are now available in French and Spanish! You’ll find these new calendar printables in my Etsy shop :)
Today I’m excited to share new calendar printables are available in my Etsy shop! You can now download Pocket Chart printables in French and Spanish! Yay! This has been on my to-do list for some time now since I received requests to turn my English Pocket Chart calendar into French and Spanish versions. I’m so happy this calendar, that I originally created just to use with my kids, has been useful to others. It is fun to see it grow and now be offered in three languages. Since I don’t personally speak French or Spanish fluently, these calendars were created with the help of readers who do!
I originally created my Pocket Chart printables in English to use with my own kids at home. This calendar is both fun and interactive, just like my original DIY Children’s Calendar. Instead of using a white board and magnets or poster board and Velcro, this calendar uses a store-bought pocket chart. I purchased mine from Amazon, but they are also sold at teacher supply stores. My cards work really well with the Scholastic Pocket Chart, which is what I use and what is pictured in this post. Below you can see pictures from both the French and Spanish versions :)
Pocket Chart Calendar in French
My Pocket Chart Printables come with the 12 months of the year all featuring a cute illustration. They are hand-drawn and digitally colored with lots of fun, cheerful colors! For some months I have included two illustrations. For example, Halloween has one card with jack-o-lanterns and bats, and another card with a cute smiling acorn and fall leaves.
The printable packets include the days of the week, seasons and number cards. Plus, there are three cards that can be used to mark what day it is today, what day it was yesterday and what day it will be tomorrow. You can ask your children to move these cards each day as well as help you set up the calendar on the first of every month. We print our cards on 110lb white paper (I’ll include a link at the end of this post) and laminate them for extra durability.
The season cards all feature the exact same tree, so it is easy for kids to see how the seasons change.
Pocket Chart Calendar in Spanish
The Spanish Pocket Chart printables feature all of the same illustrations as the French and English versions. The calendar includes the 12 months of the year, seasons, days of the week and number cards.
The Spanish printables also include cards you can use to mark what day it is today, what day it was yesterday and what day it will be tomorrow. These cards are the most important to laminate as they get moved each day!
I love how bright and cheerful the calendar looks once it’s all put together!
All of the other calendar cards I have in my shop, including my French Activity Cards and Spanish Activity Cards are the same size as the number cards. Each card measures 3.25″ x 3″. They may be a little large for some pocket charts, so you’ll want to be sure your chart can fit these. If you’d like to purchase a chart specifically to use with these cards, I recommend the Scholastic Pocket Chart, which I’ve seen offered in both blue or black.
