Creating handmade cards is great for adding a personal touch to gifts and special occasions! I created this fun retro embroidery dress card for a bridal shower and love how unexpected it is! Using white embroidery floss on blue paper really made the gown pop!
The pattern is available in my Etsy shop as an instant digital download. It is part of my new selection of wedding printables and patterns!
I have used this same embroidery dress pattern to create other cards, completely unrelated to weddings! The dress design is so versatile! Use it to create a wedding card, princess card, birthday card, mother’s day card…so many options!
Below you can see the “Little Black Dress” card I created using my dress embroidery pattern. I left off the stitched word “love” and instead used a DCWV paper stack called “Posh and Pink”to decorate the card. I stitched the dress directly onto the patterned paper and then layered paper around it. This card looks completely different from my navy and white bridal shower card!
I really enjoyed making this embroidered card and wanted to keep making more! So, I also created a Wedding Ring Embroidered Card using silver DMC Light Effects floss. The floss adds a lot of shine and sparkle to the card! You can grab this design for free!
