DIY Embroidered Dress Card
Create a sweet embroidered dress card using embroidery floss! A beautiful card for weddings, birthdays, Mother’s Day and more!
Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m excited to share a new handmade card with you, this time an embroidered dress card! I love creating handmade cards for all sorts of occasions. They are great for adding a personal touch to gifts and celebrations.
Recently, I created a DIY wedding card featuring an embroidered ring. It was so much fun to make, I decided to create another embroidered card, this time with a sweet, vintage-style dress on the front.
This unique dress card can be used for so many occasions including weddings, bridal showers, bachelorette parties as well as Mother’s Day. It is also perfect for anyone who loves vintage fashion.
Since I was creating this card for a wedding, I chose to use white embroidery floss, but this dress would look amazing in almost any color you can think of!
Below you can see the little black dress card I created for a birthday card. I left off the stitched word “love” and instead used a DCWV paper stack called “Posh and Pink”to decorate the card. I stitched the dress directly onto the patterned paper and then layered paper around it. This card looks completely different from my navy and white bridal shower card.
I really enjoyed making this embroidered card. You can also check out my Wedding Ring Embroidered Card I made using silver DMC Light Effects floss. The floss adds a lot of shine and sparkle to the card!
How to Purchase the Dress Card Pattern
The pattern for creating this dress card is available in my Etsy shop, Designing Cheerfully. Thank you for supporting my small business!
