Create these cute Harry Potter Pillow Boxes! They are the perfect size for small treats or gifts and will hold a small box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans! Free printables available for six of your favorite characters.
Good morning!! Starting today, I’ll be posting a series of awesome Harry Potter-related crafts! Harry’s birthday is coming up soon, July 31st, and I can’t help but totally get into all things Harry Potter-related! Last year at this time, I posted a tutorial on making your own Hogwart’s Express Diaper Cake as well as a free printable Cupcake Treat Box with Hedwig Gift Tag. This year I have a few more HP crafts and I’m starting them off with these Harry Potter Pillow Boxes!
I love pillow boxes because they are so quick to put together. You only need to glue or tape one flap and the rest is just folded. I designed these pillow boxes to be a bit longer than my usual pillow boxes so they could easily fit a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jelly Beans. Because who doesn’t want to eat an earwax flavored Jellybean?!
You can download the free printable boxes below under Supplies Needed. The designs include Harry, Hermione, Ron, Malfoy, Luna and Ginny. I have a nephew who just started reading the first book so I just mailed him a bunch of these treat boxes filled with Harry Potter-themed candies! These boxes make such cute gifts and I think they would be great party favors!
DIY Harry Potter Pillow Boxes
Check out the video below to see how these boxes are assembled!
- Harry Potter-themed candy – I found a lot at my local candy store and also on Amazon.
Step One: First, print off the free printable pillow boxes. I print on 110 lb bright white cardstock. Cut each pillow box out.
Step Two: Score the pillow box. I used a scoring board and stylus for the two straight fold lines. For the four curved lines, I used my stylus and traced the lines. I had a matte board underneath.
Step Three: Next, fold along the scored lines. and then fold gently along the curved lines!
Step Four: Adhere the pillow box together. I used a tape runner which worked really well. Scor-Tape is also my favorite double-sided tape which works really great for treat boxes. Close the top and bottom of the pillow box. The flap with the circle cutout should go on top. You may need to place a small piece of tape on the bottom flaps, depending on what you fill the pillow boxes with!
Finally, fill the pillow boxes some fun Harry Potter-themed candy and they are ready to be gifted! Next week, I’ll be back with two more Harry Potter crafts featuring free printables and patterns :)
I’m so excited to be participating in the series, Happy Harry Potter! Marissa of Rae Gun Ramblings is hosting two weeks of amazing Harry Potter-related crafts and projects plus two wonderful prize packs. Head on over to enter for a chance to win! :)

I used a Martha Stewart scoring board and stylus in these tutorial pictures. Since they are no longer sold, so I’ve linked to the Ek Tools scoring board and stylus which I also have and recommend!
