Solve these four Valentine’s Day riddles with the colorful decoder wheel! A fun and free printable Valentine’s Day Activity.
With Valentine’s Day coming up I’m excited to share a new decoder wheel activity! Solve four riddles using the themed Valentine’s Day decoder wheel! This printable is available to download for free and is a fun activity for kids or anyone who loves solving riddles!
I love creating Valentine’s Day activities, especially ones that can work for a couple children or a large group! A couple years ago I made a cute Caterpillar Activity for my kiddos. They had so much fun with it I recreated it for a classroom party. This printable activity is great for a variety of ages from those just learning their ABCs to older kids who can read and solve the riddles on their own.
Adventurous kiddos can use the wheel to write their own riddles and codes.
Making the Decoder Wheel
- White cardstock – I used Neenah 110 lb white paper
- Free printable – located in my Resource Library
The decoder wheel is easy to create. Simply print the decoder wheel and cut out both circles. Layer the circles together and poke a hole in the center. Attach both layers with a brad. I like to print my decoder wheel on white card stock (110lb is my favorite!) but any white paper will work. I found some cute pink brads to use and the wheel was ready to use!
For each riddle the “KEY” at the bottom will tell you how to set the wheel. For example the first riddle’s KEY is “M is for Mailbox”. Spin the wheel until the mailbox lines up with the letter “M” and then you are ready to solve!
I hope you enjoy this fun free printable Valentine’s Day activity! I turned these cute decoder wheels into printable valentines perfect for friends, family and the classroom! Check out more information on these cuties: Secret Code Valentines with Decoder Wheel.
